    IN FIVE YEARS

What's still working in five years

Ceiling fans rarely die from the motor. They die because one part gives out and that part isn't sold on its own, so the whole thing comes down and an electrician
    comes back.

    The light

A sealed LED means the fan is disposable the day the light goes. Ours is a module you order and clip in.

    The remote

Sold separately. Losing one shouldn't cost you a fan.

    The motor

DC motors run cooler and have fewer parts under load than the AC motors in cheaper fans.

The fans look fantastic and are full of functions all using a remote control. I bout two and save at least $120 compared to a big competitor. Only issue is one diffuser has a small dent which won't push out but that wouldn't stop me from buying again.

Fan is great but wouldn't pair with remote. Support staff sent new remote and solved the problem.

    ROOM BY ROOM

Goes with whatever you've already got

    Timber, not paint

Painted blades have to pick a side. They're either white or they're black, and in half the rooms out there one of those is wrong. Timber just sits there, same as a wooden floor does.

    Nothing hanging down

A fan on a rod cuts across the room at eye level. This one is flat to the ceiling, above everything you actually look at.

    Three blades

Blade count doesn't change how much air moves, CHOICE tested that. Fewer blades just means less going on up there.

    FAQs

    Will it fit a 2.4 m ceiling?

That's what it's made for. It drops 20 cm, so blades sit at 2.20 m. The rule is
2.10 m minimum, so you're clear with 10 cm to spare. A fan on a rod usually isn't.

What size room does it suit?

7 to 25 m². That's the standard bedroom and most lounges. Past 25 m² you want two fans.

Can I change the light colour?

Three settings on the remote. Warm for the evening, neutral, and a daylight white
    for the morning.
