fan itself no complaints, moves plenty of air and the lights way brighter than the old fitting. its the remote thats the issue, theres a lag between pressing something and the fan actually doing it, and you have to wake the screen first which is a pain in the dark
bought a second for the lounge after the bedroom one worked out so well 😊
heads up before you buy after a power cut the fan comes back on with the light ON we're on a rural block and lose power fairly often so we've had the light come on at 2am more than once, cant find a last state setting anywhere in the manual other than that solid unit, would buy again just knowing that
power bill hasnt moved since we put 3 of these in. runs for hours, costs nothing
very clean modern look, 3 blade suits our ceiling way better than the old 5 blade timber one, white finish matches the cornice. quiet and pushes decent air too. no issues 6 months in
the sleep function steps the speed down through the night which is exactly what we wanted 👍

spent a fair while comparing DC models before landing on this one and glad i did the reason to go DC over AC isnt really the noise, although it is quieter, its the running cost. ours draws single digit watts on low which is nothing next to running the ducted system through the roof. we've gone from having the a/c on most summer evenings to maybe 5 or 6 nights the whole season only negative, it spins up to a medium speed for a second or two when you switch it on before dropping back to whatever you had it set at. gather thats deliberate to protect the motor from a cold start but it caught me out the first few times, thought something was up would recommend
bought it for summer but the winter reverse setting has been the surprise. pushes the warm air back down and the room holds heat much better. only thing is remembering to switch it back in spring!

very quiet on 1-3. from 4 up theres a definite whoosh, more air noise than motor noise, but its there. we rarely go above 3 so it hasnt bothered us

the adjustable colour temp is better than i expected at this price, we run it warm of an evening & cool during the day. brightness range is good too, itll go low enough to use as a nightlight

132cm is about right for a standard bedroom. wouldnt use it in a big open plan space

remotes fine within the room but wont reach through a doorway which is a bit limiting in an open plan layout. use the app in that case
minor thing but the remote BEEPS every time you press a button and theres no way to turn it off that i can find. in a quiet bedroom at night its louder than the fan!!!!

we're up to 4 of these across the house now & will do the last 2 rooms before next summer even on the lowest of the 6 speeds you can feel the air moving, doubt we'll ever need above 4. the app control is the thing i didnt expect to care about and now use daily, mostly getting the living room cooling before we get home 6 year warranty was part of the decision too 👍
great fan, BUT the remote has too many buttons and the layouts not intuitive. took a while to stop hitting the dimmer when i wanted the speed
this is my 3rd CloudFan and the build qualitys been identical each time, counts for a lot
7 of these across an old queenslander, high ceilings, plenty of cross breeze. handled both summer & winter well and the reverse function makes a real difference in the cooler months. support from the retailer was excellent when i had a question about downrod lengths, rang twice, no dramas either time
one small thing. if the windows are open and theres a decent cross breeze through the room the fan makes a faint noise, almost like the blades are catching the moving air. windows shut, dead silent. not a fault, just a characteristic

we used to run the split system most nights through summer. this year we ran it 5 times. thats the whole story really
worth knowing the blades are ABS plastic not metal or timber. was unsure at first cause i prefer the look of metal but it means no corrosion which matters for our covered outdoor area. performance isnt affected far as i can tell. 4/5 only because id have liked a metal option at this price

had this fan a full year now so this is a considered review not a first impression AIRFLOW: excellent, better than the 52" AC fan it replaced despite being smaller NOISE: silent on 1 and 2, soft hum you have to listen for on 3 and 4, audible air movement on 5 and 6 but no motor or mechanical noise at any speed. no clicking, no ticking, no wobble in 12 months LIGHT: colour temp range is genuinely useful and the dimmings smooth across most of the range SMART: paired first go, stayed connected, schedule has run reliably BUILD: the ABS is better quality than the word "plastic" suggests, no discolouration on the outdoor unit after a full summer VALUE: it isnt cheap and the install added several hundred on top, but the 6 year warranty and the running cost make the sums work over that period only genuine criticism is the remote layout, too much on it. small thing against everything else. 9/10
not the fans fault but budget for the sparky!! our ceiling needed a downrod & a bracket and the quote came in well above what id allowed for (think $600+ all up). ask for an itemised quote before you buy
3 of these went in to replace old fans that were on their last legs in different parts of the house. difference is immense, both air movement and noise. wish wed done it sooner

Ceiling fans rarely die from the motor. They die because one part gives out and that part isn't sold on its own, so the whole thing comes down and an electrician
comes back.
A sealed LED means the fan is disposable the day the light goes. Ours is a module you order and clip in.
Sold separately. Losing one shouldn't cost you a fan.
DC motors run cooler and have fewer parts under load than the AC motors in cheaper fans.

What size do I need ?
Size is set by floor area, not ceiling height. The room guide on this page will tell you which one fits, and it will tell you when none of them do.
Will it fit a low ceiling ?
Our flush mount fans sit tight against the ceiling with no downrod, which is what keeps the blades high in a standard Australian room.
How quiet is it, really ?
A DC motor steps in six increments instead of three, and the extra range sits at the bottom. Speeds one and two are slow enough to run all night.
How long does delivery take ?
Orders leave the warehouse within 2 business days. Delivery usually takes 8 to 15 business days from there. Remote and regional addresses take a little longer.
Can I return it ?
100 days if you change your mind, unopened and unused. A fan that's been wired in can't come back, which is why the room guide is on this page.
What if I lose the remote?
You order another one. Same for the LED module and the receiver. A lost remote shouldn't cost you a fan.
